Match Report:

A mix-up by SSC nearly caused the match to be disrupted and the match was shifted from Serangoon Sec to Woodlands Sec in just 3 hours.

Team SausageFest started brightly with some confident display of passes among the players. Player-manager Sir Benjamin Ang was included in the starting line-up wearing the latest Adidas PREDATOR®_X, worn by a list of star players , including Steven Gerrard.

Unfortunately for Sir Benny, his Predator's debut was over in just 10mins due to an accidental tackle by the opponent, leaving him with an strained ankle. Sir Benny looked crest-fallen as he left the pitch.

Team SausageFest then conceded an early goal but regained composure and we defended well despite the unceasing attacks from our counterpart. SausageFest scored an important goal just before half-time against the run of play. A mix-up in the box left foxy Zack to capitalise on it and poked home his second goal in as many games.

1-1  Half Time

Sir Benny made 5 substitutions after the break and Josh came just in time to join us in the second half. The first 10min was pretty even. A moment of brillance from Ahsik came as he treaded a sublime ball to Josh. Sensing the keeper was out of position, Josh tried a long shot but was the ball was kept away instantly by the opponent's hand. The referee pointed to the spot after a moment and Jason Chua made a last min decision to take the ball from the spot. The players had their hearts in their mouth as Bosingwa Chua geared up for his shot. Jason drived his shot ferociously into the centre of the net and the keeper had no chance despite the inital slight contact. Jason scored his first ever goal for his club. Congrats!

Team Sausages was up 2-1 in the 55th min.

The armour was down for Team SausageFest after the well-taken penalty and SausageFest was punished with two quick goals in succession resulting from some mix-up between our defenders and keeper.

3-2 to Blue Cantebury Utd

An interesting play between our creative midfielders Benedict and James resulted in a ball straight into our new guest striker Ahkumeow's feets just ouside the box. Ahkumeow treaded a tight through ball to the right, Josh's first touch left his defender for dead and afterwhich a soft half volley saw the ball into the right corner of the net with the keeper looking stranded.

3-3

Jason Chua replaced Josh in the last 10minutes in a bid to increase his goal tally. Both sides were looking comfortable for a draw when a repeated mix-up in the 80th min gifted Blue Cantebury with an easiest of chance to seal the victory.

4-3 to Blue Cantebury Utd
